Hundreds of people holding banners, Ukrainian flags, and photos of soldiers gathered for a rally, demanding that the Red Cross take action to facilitate the return of prisoners of war.
Relatives of the prisoners of war are visibly emotional outside the building, seeking at least some information about their husbands and sons who are currently in Russian captivity.
The ICRC reached out to the activists present at the rally, stating that the organization is actively working on the diplomatic front every day.
"Our specialists communicate with families individually, and we also liaise with various authorities, including the Coordination Headquarters, the Ombudsman’s Office, and the Presidential Office. Unfortunately, it often feels like we make two steps forward and one step back," the statement reads.
Recall that on February 2, people gathered in central Kyiv for the Free Azov rally. This event aims to support the imprisoned defenders and highlight the importance of exchanges.
On February 1, hundreds of people gathered in Lviv to remind everyone about the warriors still held in Russia.
