Minister of Defense of Germany Boris Pistorius has visited Kyiv to hold talks with the Ukrainian government. The main topic of the meetings is the strengthening of the Ukrainian defense industry (DI). This initiative has been joined by four other European partners, who, together with Germany, aim to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities.
"It is important for me to use this trip to demonstrate that we continue to actively support Ukraine. This is a signal that Germany, as the largest NATO country in Europe, stands with Ukraine," — n-tv quotes him.
During the negotiations, the parties are expected to discuss the details of cooperation, which includes the supply of defense equipment, support for technological development, and joint projects in the military sector.
As a reminder, recently Boris Pistorius announced the transfer of the first of the promised RCH 155 howitzers to Ukraine.
Additionally, Pistorius dismissed rumors that Olaf Scholz allegedly blocked assistance to Ukraine from Germany.
