Ukrainian forces destroyed a column of Russian armored vehicles during their attempted assault in the Vremivka direction.

The Russian army recently attempted to storm Ukrainian positions in the Vremivka direction, north of Velyka Novosilka. There, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a column of enemy armored vehicles.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing OSUV "Khortytsia".

According to military sources, the occupiers launched an assault on the positions of our defenders near Novyi Komar with a column of armored vehicles. The column included three tanks and BMPs with infantry.

"Such audacious mechanized assaults by the occupiers in the area of responsibility of the troops of this brigade are regular, so our defenders had time to develop a counteraction plan," OSUV "Khortytsia" stated.

FPV drones from the unit were used to intercept the enemy's armored vehicles. Thanks to the skill and accuracy of the drone operators, both enemy equipment and personnel were destroyed.

"The enemy attempted to break into the village of Novyi Komar, north of Velyka Novosilka, but the fighters held their positions and repelled the enemy's assault," the report said.

We remind you that today OSUV "Khortytsia" reported that in the Vremivka direction over the past day, the Russians attacked about six settlements. They managed to infiltrate the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Additionally, according to the General Staff, the Russian army used aviation in an attempt to break through near Kurakhove.
