Recently, a 3M62U locomotive was destroyed in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was responsible for logistics for the Russian occupation army.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
According to GUR, the Russian locomotive was destroyed on January 18, 2025, at the "Ruchyi" tram depot in Saint Petersburg. This locomotive was used by the Russians for logistical support of their army.
Preliminary reports indicate that the fire destroyed the entire control system.
"The locomotive that transported Russian weapons, ammunition, and military equipment by rail is beyond repair," GUR stated.

Additionally, partisans carried out a sabotage operation on the railway in the Rostov region of Russia. Agents of the partisan movement "Atesh" set fire to a relay cabinet on the main railway line connecting Russia to the occupied part of the Donetsk region.
