A 38-year-old man has been detained in Kharkiv for disseminating information about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. These actions were carried out under martial law, which is classified under part 2 of article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to the investigation, in October of this year, the man filmed military personnel on duty while driving through a checkpoint in Kharkiv.
He later edited the footage, adding precise coordinates of the checkpoint and personal details of the soldiers. In the video, the "blogger" expressed manipulative statements and accusations against Ukraine's defenders.
Law enforcement officials emphasize that the dissemination of such information without the permission of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense, or other authorized bodies is prohibited and poses a threat to security.
The accused is currently in custody awaiting trial at the Dzerzhynskyi District Court of Kharkiv. He faces up to eight years in prison.
Recall that the SBU exposed the rector of one of the churches in the Kharkiv diocese of the UOC (MP), suspected of collaborating with Russian intelligence services.
