The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has chosen a preventive measure for former Deputy Head of the Supreme Economic Court, Arthur Yemelyanov, in the form of detention. He is suspected of bribery.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Suspilne".
According to the court's decision, Yemelyanov will remain in the detention center at least until January 30.
Additionally, the court has decided not to allow the suspect the opportunity to post bail.
It should be noted that today, December 3, sources from RBK-Ukraine reported that Ukrainian law enforcement detained former Deputy Head of the Supreme Economic Court Arthur Yemelyanov, who is currently working as a lawyer.
As established by the State Bureau of Investigations, Yemelyanov is a member of a criminal group, and he is suspected of bribery.
The group that included Yemelyanov allegedly issued “favorable” decisions in exchange for bribes. This primarily concerned economic disputes.
Now, the former Deputy Head of the Supreme Economic Court faces up to 12 years in prison.
