The Russian vessel Ursa Major sank in the Mediterranean Sea. The owning company stated that the ship was blown up.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel "RIA Novosti".
The ship's owning company "Oboronlogistika" claimed that before the sinking, "three explosions occurred on the starboard side." The company labeled this as a terrorist act.
It is likely that the explosion occurred in the engine room. 14 crew members were rescued, while two are missing.
Yesterday, it became known that the Russian vessel Ursa Major, which was transporting strategic cargo, sank in the Mediterranean Sea after an explosion in the engine room.
Moreover, the monitoring group "Crimean Wind" stated that there was likely strategic cargo on board - two 45-ton hatches for a nuclear reactor intended for the icebreaker project 10510 "Leader".
Earlier, we reported that due to a severe storm, two Russian tankers, "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239," sank in the Kerch Strait. The waves nearly split them in half. Later, a few days after that, it became known that another tanker sank near the port of "Kavkaz" in the Black Sea.
