6 февраля РФ якобы атаковала Киев "Орешником": украинцев предостерегли о возможной манипуляции с информацией.

The Russian Federation did not launch the "Oreshnik" missile on February 6 against Ukraine. There has been no confirmation of this from either the Ukrainian side or Russia.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine with a link to the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security.

What preceded it

Yesterday morning, a large-scale air alert was declared in Ukraine due to the threat of a ballistic strike. The alert lasted approximately 30 minutes.

Subsequently, several media outlets reported that the alarm was allegedly caused by the launch of a medium-range "Oreshnik" missile by the Russians. However, the missile reportedly did not reach its target and fell on Russian territory.

What actually happened

As noted by the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security, the source material is based on statements from blogger and Ukrainian military personnel Kirill Sazonov.

However, Sazonov himself used the phrases "likely launched" and "the likely target is Kyiv" in his note. This confirms that there is no real evidence that the Russians launched the "Oreshnik" at Kyiv.

"There were no official confirmations of the launch of the 'Oreshnik' from either the Ukrainian side or the Russian Federation. The Russians often manipulate the topic of the 'Oreshnik' to intimidate Ukrainians," the Center stated.

Large-scale alert due to ballistic threats

Previously, we reported that on November 21, Russian terrorists launched the "Oreshnik" missile for the first time in the full-scale war against the city of Dnipro.

At that time, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin claimed that this was a way for Russia to test this type of weaponry. However, due to the type of missile and its range, a large-scale alert is declared across all of Ukraine.

Additionally, Ukrainian intelligence has revealed details about the new Russian missile. For more information, see the material from RBK-Ukraine.

RBK-Ukraine also reported on which air defense systems the "Oreshnik" could indeed become unreachable.
