In Chernihiv, a man sprayed a serviceman of the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSSC) in the face with pepper spray. The police apprehended him at home, where he fled after the incident.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the National Police of Ukraine.
The report of the attack on the soldier came in on February 6. During a citizen notification by TRSSC staff, the man refused to provide identification for verification and behaved aggressively. Initially, he swung a telescopic baton at one of the servicemen, and afterward sprayed him in the face with pepper spray before fleeing.

The perpetrator turned out to be a 43-year-old local resident. After the incident, he locked himself in his apartment.
"With the support of special police battalion fighters, officers conducted an urgent search of the man's apartment with the assistance of a dog handler," the National Police states.

The perpetrator was arrested and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The detainee has been informed of suspicion on several charges, which carry a potential prison sentence of up to seven years.
Recall that RBK-Ukraine reported on February 1, in Pyriatyn, an unknown individual shot a serviceman of the TRSSC with a hunting rifle, resulting in the latter's death.
