Unknown individuals attacked the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Stockholm, Sweden. They dropped paint on the building from a drone.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Dagens Nyheter.
According to local police, a drone flew over the Russian embassy in the western part of Kungsholmen in Stockholm on Friday night. The drone released colored paint onto the grounds of the diplomatic mission.
"We deployed a helicopter to search for the drone, but we were unable to locate it. We spoke with an embassy employee who confirmed that paint had been dropped," said Stockholm police spokesperson Mats Eriksson.
So far, the incident has been classified as vandalism; however, it may not be the only occurrence.
Recently, unknown individuals attacked the Swedish embassy in Moscow. The group used spray cans in the security area near the embassy. They were apprehended by local police for their actions.
Ukraine and several Western countries believe that Russia may enter into a conflict with NATO. In Kyiv, there are suspicions that the Kremlin could target Poland or the Baltic states.
According to estimates from Estonian intelligence, Russia is already preparing for a new military conflict that could begin within the next ten years. In Germany, it is predicted that Moscow may initiate aggression against NATO as early as 2029.
Recently, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the countries of the bloc must change the trajectory of Russia's war against Ukraine.
