In Ternopil, during the night of December 3, a Russian airstrike resulted in damage to a critical infrastructure facility. Due to enemy shelling, there were partial power outages in the city.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, referencing the Telegram channel of Ternopil's mayor, Serhiy Nadal.
"An enemy UAV hit a critical infrastructure facility in Ternopil. A part of the city is without electricity," his statement reads.
The mayor noted that emergency services and energy workers are addressing the aftermath of the Russian attack.
He also urged local residents to stock up on water, as the lack of electricity is expected to cause water supply issues.
"Energy workers and rescuers are eliminating the consequences of the attack. Please make sure to have enough water and charge your phones," the mayor added.
It is worth mentioning that this "Shahed" strike on Ternopil, particularly targeting the city's and region's energy infrastructure, marks the third occurrence in the last week.
Additionally, during the night before, one person was killed and there were injuries in Ternopil due to a Russian attack that also involved strike drones. A fire broke out in the city.
Previously, on the night of November 26, during a massive attack using kamikaze drones, explosions were heard in Ternopil, leading to partial power outages and disruptions in water supply.
At that time, local authorities reported that the energy infrastructure supplying Ternopil was damaged by the "Shahed" strike.
Furthermore, on November 26, network restrictions were introduced in Ternopil region due to the nighttime massive drone attack.
