The Ukrainian intelligence intercepted yet another conversation among the military command of the Russian Federation. In this conversation, a commander instructed the occupiers to kill Ukrainian prisoners of war.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing HUR.
The radio interception reveals a Russian commander ordering the interrogation of a Ukrainian prisoner of war first. He instructs them to conduct the interrogation regarding how many more Ukrainian fighters might be nearby.
Then he gives his subordinates the command to commit a war crime – to execute the prisoner.
"Let him be taken down! Don't you understand what needs to be done?!" – the Russian says.
According to intelligence, the conversation was intercepted in the Donetsk region.
"What’s the issue there, what’s the problem? Baron, just shoot him and that’s it. What are you hesitating for?" - the Russian shouts.
In recent months, Ukrainian law enforcement has reported several instances of the execution of Ukrainian soldiers who were captured by Russians. In particular, in early November, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported the execution of six Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Pokrovsk direction.
Currently, a mass execution involves the killing by Russian occupiers of 16 captured Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction.
Additionally, just days ago, in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian soldiers executed five Ukrainian prisoners of war. This incident occurred near the settlement of Novodarivka in the Polohy district.
