The former head of the Kyiv metro has been declared wanted.

The police have issued a wanted notice for Viktor Braginsky, the former head of the Kyiv Metro. He is suspected of negligence in office.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In the electronic database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Braginsky is listed as an individual who is "hiding from pre-trial investigation authorities."

The date of Braginsky's disappearance is noted as June 20, 2024. The place of disappearance is Kyiv.

He was placed on the wanted list by the Strategic Investigations Department in Kyiv of the National Police of Ukraine.

Viktor Braginsky is being sought under Article 367 of the Criminal Code - negligence in office, which refers to the failure or improper performance of official duties by an official due to a lack of diligence, resulting in severe consequences. No preventive measures have been applied against the individual.

Flooding of the Metro in Kyiv

Recall that in December 2023, flooding occurred at the "Demiivska" and "Lybidska" metro stations in Kyiv. As a result, part of the blue line of the metro was closed for repairs.

According to the investigation, the destruction of the tunnel structures lasted about 14 years. An accident occurred due to the concealment of facts regarding the critical condition of the structure.

On July 23, 2024, two metro officials were handed suspicion. In November, the former head of the Kyiv Metro, Viktor Braginsky, was also accused of improper performance of official duties.
