The cold Arctic air at the beginning of February has already significantly lowered the thermometer readings. However, meteorologists are not in a hurry to predict a warming trend, which means that the weather in Ukraine will remain frosty for at least the next week.
At the same time, the Ventusky website anticipates that noticeable "minus" temperatures will be observed until the end of the month. During certain periods, temperatures may drop to -18, but such conditions are expected only in the Carpathians.
According to the forecast, light frosts are expected to persist in Ukraine until around February 12, after which a brief warming spell may occur. However, starting from February 17, temperatures are expected to sharply decline again.
The lowest temperatures are anticipated between February 18 and 22, when daytime thermometer readings will drop to around -4 to -8 degrees Celsius. At night, temperatures are expected to be around -8 to -12 degrees.
The coldest conditions will be in areas near the Carpathians, where nighttime temperatures may reach as low as -15 degrees. On certain days, it could even drop to -18.
Meteorologists indicate that during this period, there will also be a significant drop in temperatures in Russia, which means that in the border regions of Ukraine, brief temperature dips to -15 and below are also possible. In the rest of the country, nighttime temperatures can be expected to reach a maximum of -10 degrees.
It is important to note that such long-term forecasts are usually based on historical data, so the actual situation may differ significantly from the predicted outlook.
We remind you that in February, power outages may return to Ukraine due to changing weather conditions.
