Winter continues to surprise Ukrainians with sharp weather changes. An anticyclone has settled over Ukraine, bringing dry and frosty weather for the weekend of February 8 and 9.
In the coming days, no precipitation is expected, and there will be an increase in sunny hours. This was reported by well-known meteorologist Natalia Didenko on her Telegram channel.
For most of Ukraine, dry weather will prevail on February 8-9. At night, thermometer readings will drop to -4…-10 degrees. During the day, temperatures will hover around zero, while in the eastern regions it will be slightly colder – between -1 and -4 degrees. In Zakarpattia, a relative warming is expected, reaching +2…+8 degrees.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, icy conditions are likely to form on the roads across the country, except for most western and southern regions. The wind will be from the northeast, blowing at 5-10 m/s. In the Sea of Azov region and Crimea, gusts are expected to reach 15-20 m/s.
In Kyiv, the weekend will be dry and frosty. Nighttime temperatures will drop to -7…-10 degrees. During the day, the air will warm up only to -1…-3 degrees. The wind will be from the northeast, at 5-10 m/s. No precipitation is anticipated; instead, meteorologists forecast plenty of sunny hours.
