On the night of Wednesday, December 4, Russia was attacked by drones. In particular, explosions were reported near the military airfield "Dyagilevo" on the outskirts of Ryazan. There were also loud sounds in the area of the city of Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Krai, RF).
As written by the Telegram channel Astra, local residents reported that the explosions near "Dyagilevo" occurred around four o'clock. Prior to that, sounds of flying drones were heard. A moment of one of the explosions was captured on video.
The Governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, stated that the RF air defense forces shot down three unmanned aerial vehicles over the region. He added that, according to preliminary information, "there are no casualties or destruction." The RF Ministry of Defense reported that overnight on December 4, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 24 drones, which they referred to as "Ukrainian." Six were over the territory of Rostov region, five over Bryansk, four over Belgorod, three over Ryazan, one over Astrakhan, and five over Krasnodar Krai.
It is noteworthy that according to open data, the "Dyagilevo" airbase hosts the 43rd Center for Combat Application and Retraining of Flight Personnel (CCAP), equipped with Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, Tu-134UBL, and An-26 aircraft. It is also home to the 203rd Separate Air Refueling Squadron, equipped with Il-78 tankers. Nearby, there is the 360th Aviation Repair Plant.
The "Dyagilevo" airbase has previously been targeted by drones. Specifically, the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked it in July of this year.
Additionally, it was loud last night in the area of Novorossiysk. Russian media, citing local residents, wrote about a series of explosions occurring both in the city and its surroundings. Local authorities reported air defense operations.
As reported by "Telegraph," explosions were also heard in Ryazan on October 26. Following them, a glow was observed near the local oil refinery.
