Although the majority of Ukrainians will see their pension payments in 2025 remain unchanged, four categories of citizens can expect new payments. As a result, their pensions will surpass the minimum pension amounts.
This information was reported by the publication "On Pension".
According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, as of October 1, 2024, the average pension amounted to 5851.9 hryvnias. Working pensioners receive slightly more – 6257.96 hryvnias. Meanwhile, the minimum pension payment in 2024 is set at 2361 hryvnias.
For which pensioners, whose pensions cannot be lower than 8000 hryvnias:
- Victims of the Chernobyl disaster with a Group I disability. According to legislation, their pension cannot be less than 8187 hryvnias.
- Liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster who became disabled as a result. For those with a Group III disability, the pension is at least 8025 hryvnias, for Group II it is at least 10,700 hryvnias, and for Group I it is at least 13,376 hryvnias.
- Military personnel who became disabled during service are entitled to receive a pension amounting to 100%, 80%, or 60% of their monetary allowance, depending on whether they fall under Group I, II, or III, respectively.
- Individuals with disabilities due to war: for those with a Group III disability, the pension is 8499 hryvnias, for Group II it is 12,395 hryvnias, and for Group I it is 15,346 hryvnias.
Earlier, "Telegraph" reported that the maximum pension in Ukraine in 2025 will remain at the level of 23,610 hryvnias.
