The Director of the Department of Urban Mobility and Street Infrastructure, Oleg Zabarilo, explained to a journalist from Novini.LIVE how the process works.
According to Zabarilo, abandoned vehicles are identified by representatives of district administrations. Following this, a notice regarding potential evacuation is placed on the vehicles. If the owner does not respond within a month, a decision is made to relocate the car to the National Police lot at Konushynna Street, 13.
"If the owner wishes to retrieve their property from the lot, they can do so. They need to contact the lot and pay for the duration their vehicle has been stored there. If the owner chooses not to reclaim their car, after six months of storage, we will be able to sell this abandoned vehicle at auction," stated Oleg Zabarilo.
