Canada Supports Ukraine

The ambassador emphasized that Canada will not allow Russia to gain membership in the G7 and calls for continued pressure on Russians through sanctions. She also added that the support for Ukraine from the G7, led by Canada, will continue in all possible ways.

"I believe sanctions are effective, but I think it will remain a priority to strengthen them in new areas, make them more flexible, and address the issue of circumvention of these sanctions. And I think this is where the 'shadow fleet' will help," noted Tsmoch.

Earlier, we reported that Canada and its allies are unequivocally opposed to the illegal, immoral, and unjust actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He is violating the international order.
