Explosions were heard in Kharkiv last night, February 5th. Russian invaders struck the city using "Shahed" drones.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Kharkiv Regional Police and the Mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov.
The explosions in the Kharkiv area were audible around 02:33 and 02:40.
Local residents are urged to stay in shelters until the air raid alert is lifted.
"Attention. Explosions are heard in Kharkiv. Stay in shelter. Report any impacts to the police hotline at 102!" - states the police announcement.
It is noted that around two o'clock in the morning, the Air Forces recorded the movement of Russian strike drones towards the Kharkiv region.
Later, the mayor of Kharkiv mentioned that there was information about a "strike by a Shahed on the central part of the city."
"We are clarifying the details," - he added.
Subsequently, the mayor of Kharkiv reported that the enemy carried out an airstrike on an administrative building in the Saltivskyi district, resulting in a fire at the impact site.
Terekhov also noted that windows were shattered in the high-rise building opposite, and a gas station was damaged.
"No information about casualties has been reported at this time. All relevant services are working on-site," - he added.
Later, the mayor of Kharkiv reported that the second "impact" of the drone occurred in the Osnovyanskyi district.
According to him, there is also a fire at the impact site.
Recall that on the evening of February 4th, the Air Forces reported the launch of strike drones by Russian invaders towards Ukraine. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions due to the threat of "Shaheds."
Explosions were heard in Kiev at night, and air defense systems were active in the capital due to enemy drones.
