A 30-year-old volunteer from Austria, Richard S., has died in the Russia-Ukraine war.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the publication Österreich.
According to the publication, the volunteer's death was announced by a friend on Instagram, and this information was later confirmed to journalists by the Austrian foreign ministry.
"He loved his homeland and his family, but since the beginning of the large-scale war, he has supported my family (meaning Ukraine - ed.)", - wrote a friend under a photo of the fallen soldier.
The man likely died as a result of a drone attack.
Recall that in early January, the death of 26-year-old volunteer Jordan McLachlan from Scotland was reported, who had been fighting for Ukraine since 2022. In November 2024, 24-year-old Georgian volunteer Levan Lokhishvili and 22-year-old Brit Callum Tindall-Dreiler, who was a member of the International Legion, were killed.
