Ukraine cannot strike across the entire territory of Russia, contrary to the given permission.

This was reported by military expert and editor-in-chief of Defense Express Oleg Katkov during a broadcast on "Espresso" on Tuesday, February 4.

What distance can Ukraine strike from?

As Katkov explained, the situation regarding restrictions on strikes deep into Russia has improved. Previously, Western partners did not grant any permissions at all. Now, however, Ukraine operates without restrictions not only in the Kursk region but throughout the entire territory of the Russian Federation.

"However, the question remains about the range of these strikes. Russia has the capability to strike deep into all of Ukraine's territory. We only have our own means, which have a range of up to 2500 km, and it's important to note that we are talking about drones, not missiles. In other words, we do not have Western-made systems capable of hitting targets at such distances," said the expert.

Katkov also noted that the ban on strikes against enemy territory for Ukraine — is unjust. He added that no one has imposed such demands on the Russian Federation.

"These are inhumane conditions for defending our sovereignty and our territory. These restrictions should have been lifted from the very beginning, and they should never have existed. Conducting military operations against an opponent that has superior resources, and under certain restrictions, is simply inhumane," believes Katkov.

Recall that Vadim Sukharevsky stated that over the past six months, the UAV forces have demonstrated good operational results. Ukrainian defenders have carried out more than 220 operations on the territory of the Russian Federation.

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine needs nuclear weapons and missiles to stop Russia. According to him, this could be a solution, as joining NATO may take a long time.
