This night, the city of Kharkiv was subjected to a drone attack, with "hits" reported in two districts. Residential buildings and a restaurant were damaged due to enemy strikes involving drones, and there are casualties.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a statement from Dmitry Chubenko, the spokesperson for the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office.
According to the representative of the regional prosecutor's office, around midnight, three drones struck Kharkiv - two in the Kyiv district and one in the Shevchenko district of the city.
Preliminary reports indicate that the enemy used "Geran" strike drones for the attacks on Kharkiv.
In the Kyiv district, a Russian drone hit the second floor of a nine-story residential building, and at that moment, no one was present in the apartment. Chubenko noted that there were no serious injuries in that building.
"As of one o'clock in the morning, two people sought medical attention for acute stress reactions, and two others were carried out on stretchers by ambulance crews, receiving medical assistance and being examined by doctors," he stated.
Additionally, the representative of the regional prosecutor's office mentioned that these are elderly individuals, and their condition is still unknown.
The other hit in the Kyiv district was near a restaurant building, which was also damaged.
The third hit occurred on one of the central streets of the city (Shevchenko district) - on the roadway. There, the glazing and facade of a seven-story residential building were damaged, with "dozens of windows" shattered.
"Currently, prosecutors and investigators are on-site to collect debris from these drones as part of the criminal proceedings. It has already been opened under part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," Chubenko added.
As reported later by the State Emergency Service (SES), there was a fire in a high-rise building in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv, where a Russian drone struck.
