The State Bureau of Investigations has uncovered that the lists for training abroad for the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade included previously detained evaders. They paid for illegal border crossings.
According to RBK-Ukraine, this was reported by the communications advisor of the SBI, Tatyana Sapyan, during a national marathon broadcast.
She stated that during the investigation, it was found that individuals who had been detained for attempting illegal border crossings were included in the training lists of the 155th Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv.
This refers to those who paid money to illegally leave Ukraine. Sapyan clarified that such detainees only face an administrative fine, meaning it is not a criminal liability.
"These people, if I am not mistaken, about 12 'evaders' ended up on the training lists for France," noted Sapyan.
She added that the "evasion" had already been proven, and law enforcement is investigating how the relevant "scheme" with the lists of evaders for training in the 155th brigade operated.
It is also worth mentioning that the investigation is complicated by the fact that these mobilized soldiers are already abroad. There is currently no possibility to extradite them, although the investigation is working on this.
Recall that a scandal erupted online involving the fighters of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv. It concerned improper formation and supply of the 155th brigade, mass desertion, and SVC, particularly during training in France.
As a result, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky instructed to reinforce the 155th brigade. The commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mikhail Drapatiy took personal control of the situation.
Recently, it also became known about the detention of former commander of the 155th brigade, Dmitry Ryumshin.
