Negotiation Topics

"This is our table, where we should be introduced first, then we will invite our partners, and finally, we will invite our enemy, the aggressor, who must stop this war. They can do this at any moment," said Shmyhal.

According to him, the negotiation table is actually a place where we need to discuss the terms. He believes there are four main topics for peace guarantees and how to achieve a lasting, long-term, and just peace:

security guarantees for Ukraine — this could involve joining NATO or alternative initiatives;
a large Ukrainian army of 800,000 soldiers;
the reconstruction of the country and economic growth;
swift accession to the EU and unity with Europe.

Earlier, the head of the GUR MO, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that international law is "asleep" regarding the issue of the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the defense committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Roman Kostenko, provided examples of commitments from partners to Ukraine following the end of the war.
