The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is conducting counterintelligence operations in Sumy, during which citizen checks and vehicle inspections may take place.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Suspilne".

According to the spokesperson for the SBU in the Sumy region, Olesya Raputa, the counterintelligence activities are being carried out in the city to prevent and neutralize threats from reconnaissance and sabotage activities against Ukraine.

During these counterintelligence operations, the following may occur:

• restriction of access and traffic on the city's streets;
• document checks for citizens;
• vehicle inspections.
