The SBU has apprehended another spy who was extracting information from her deserter nephew.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered another informant for the Russian special services. She was extracting information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine through her deserting nephew.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The individual in question is a 38-year-old resident of Toretsk in the Donetsk region, who moved to the Vinnytsia region at the beginning of the full-scale war, where she registered as a displaced person and began working for the FSB.

The woman was probing her nephew, a contract soldier who had deserted from one of Ukraine's military units and was hiding in Toretsk. The informant was asking the deserter for information about the locations of the Defense Forces and the consequences of enemy shelling.

This information was transmitted via messenger to her Russian handler. After that, she deleted all correspondence from her phone.

The SBU notes that the informant attempted to evade capture by relocating to the Kirovohrad region and cutting off contacts with the FSB. However, the SBU located her and arrested her in a rented apartment.

During a search of the enemy collaborator's home, a mobile phone containing evidence of her cooperation with the Russian special service was seized.

The SBU has opened a criminal case and announced suspicion under Part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The woman is currently in custody and faces up to 12 years in prison.

Recall that SBU detained a girl who was preparing a terrorist act in the center of Kyiv. The Russian agent turned out to be a resident of Lviv.

Recently, agents of Russia were uncovered in Zhytomyr, who planned to carry out a terrorist attack against police officers. They intended to blow up law enforcement personnel on the orders of the Russian Federation.
