Technologies are advancing rapidly, and artificial intelligence is now more than just cat-themed toys. It is being utilized in military applications and beyond.
Recently, scientists managed to develop an artificial intelligence program capable of generating a simulation of a human personality. To study a person, this program requires just two hours of interviews.
The research team utilized the LLM ChatGPT model as a foundation for creating a new model. It can not only analyze a person's personality but also begin to respond on their behalf to questions, using the same answers that a human would provide. The AI poses a series of questions to the individual and listens to their responses; after two hours, the program processes what it has heard and creates a personality simulation.
If you ask the simulated personality the same questions posed to a real person and compare the answers, the match is impressive — 85% accurate responses. The scientists assert that their goal was to enhance sociological research. Specifically, one method used by sociologists is the survey itself. Employing such models will aid in recording and analyzing data about certain groups of people, and it will be more cost-effective than traditional surveys.
The company tested its program on thousands of individuals who were compensated for their interviews. The resulting personalities differ significantly from the AI assistants that people are used to. Researchers believe that these replicated personality models could potentially enable robots to interact better with humans in the future.
Previously, "Telegraph" reported that, thanks to analysis conducted by artificial intelligence, previously unknown geoglyphs were discovered in the Nazca Desert in Peru. AI helped identify over 300 drawings.
