Rapper and producer Alexey Potapenko (Potap) commented on his trips abroad during the war.
In an interview with Russian journalist Yuri Dud, he stated that he has legal grounds for traveling and returns to Ukraine in accordance with current regulations, as reported by UNN.
Details
This marks Potap's first major interview since the onset of the full-scale war. When Dud asked whether the artist is concerned that Ukrainians might react negatively to his decision to come on the show with a Russian journalist, the artist noted that he sees this as an opportunity to convey his position.
Moreover, according to him, he continues to communicate in Russian but does not use it in his creative work. The producer described his stay abroad as entirely legal.
“There are ways, there are systems, various programs, I don’t know how to say it correctly, provided by different authorities where you can obtain permission to travel. It’s not easy; you have to navigate through bureaucracy. During this time, I have traveled for various reasons through different channels. It stipulates that I must return. That is, it is for a certain period. Therefore, I come back.”
Additionally, Potap shared his thoughts on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
