Recent advancements by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Pokrovsk and Russian progress in various areas: ISW maps reveal the latest developments.
The Ukrainian defense forces achieved success near Pokrovsk, southwest of the city. Meanwhile, there is reported advancement of Russian occupiers near Kupiansk, Toretsk, Kurakhove, and also at Pokrovsk. The Ministry of Defense of Russia claimed on February 5 that they had captured Novomlinskoe (northeast of Kupiansk), but ISW assesses that the Russians occupied this settlement as of January 31.
A Russian blogger asserted that before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Novomlinskoe had a population of about 15 people.
