Valeriy Zaluzhny mentioned this during the NV event "Ukraine Changes the World. Dialogues on Opportunities" on Wednesday, February 19, according to a correspondent from Novyny.LIVE.
Zaluzhny emphasized that such matters should only be addressed after the war in Ukraine has concluded. He stated that he would then share his decision.
"For now, our task is singular — to endure and preserve our state. Only after that will we consider other matters," — he added.
Recall that U.S. leader Donald Trump stated that Ukraine needs elections. According to him, President Volodymyr Zelensky is allegedly supported by only 4%.
Previously, Zelensky noted that the issue of holding elections in Ukraine during wartime is raised solely by the Russian dictator Putin, as well as "some voices" in the U.S.
