This was stated by the head of the HVA, Andrey Besedin, in a comment to Novini.LIVE on Wednesday, February 19.
"The information is indeed distorted, as we report every day, and the situation remains unchanged. The enemy is two kilometers from the border of the city of Kupiansk," said Besedin.
He specified that this distance has remained constant for two months. The Ukrainian defense forces are providing a worthy resistance and maintaining the line, despite the significant advantage of the enemy in personnel, equipment, and aviation.
"The enemy has not been able to advance even a meter. Intense battles continue in the directions of Synyukivka, Holubivka, and Petropavlivka," noted the head of the HVA.
Besedin added that our military is destroying the enemy, preventing them from entering the left bank of the city.
Recall that at the end of January, a film crew from Novini.LIVE visited Kupiansk and spoke with local residents.
On February 4, it was reported that Russian troops were forced to partially retreat from the front positions in the Kupiansk direction.
