Волонтер Фуминори Цучико объяснил, почему рассматривает возможность покинуть Украину.

Fuminori Tsuchiko shared this in a comment to a correspondent from Novini.LIVE.

Why the Volunteer from Japan Might Leave Ukraine

Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, Fuminori Tsuchiko has been providing free meals to the residents of Kharkiv. The man stated that he is currently facing challenges in obtaining a residence permit in Ukraine. According to him, migration service workers say there are no legal grounds for this.

"My Ukrainian friend said that if I pay some money, I could get the permit. I directly asked the staff: 'If I give you 1000 dollars, will that be okay?' They just laughed and did not object," the volunteer said.

He also added that only political intervention could resolve his difficult situation. Fuminori Tsuchiko suggested that President Volodymyr Zelensky and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov could help.

Response from Ihor Terekhov

The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, responded to the situation. He noted that he had spoken with the head of the Kharkiv migration service, Oleksandr Tymonov, regarding this matter.

"What I can report is that Fuminori's residence permit in Ukraine will be extended. As for his residence status, that will be decided later," Terekhov wrote.

Recall that the day before, the well-known volunteer from Japan, Fuminori Tsuchiko, posted on Facebook that he might leave Ukraine. He mentioned that he would attempt to bribe someone to obtain the documents.

Fuminori Tsuchiko has been supporting the people of Kharkiv since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Daily, around five hundred people would come to enjoy meals prepared by the volunteer at his establishment.
