Ekaterina Mikhalko reported this at a briefing, as conveyed by a correspondent from Novini.LIVE.
Ekaterina Mikhalko stated that the defense sector primarily requires clear feedback from the government.
"First of all, there needs to be substantive technological feedback from the government regarding the effectiveness of technologies and our strategic military development. Manufacturers need guidance on what to focus on, how to improve their products, and which new products to develop," the official reported.
It's also essential to organize uninterrupted contracting. Ekaterina Mikhalko added that this recommendation has also been given by NATO representatives, as well as by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
The third step will involve controlling the export of weapons to partners and NATO countries, particularly those models that are not being used in Ukraine.
"This is a controlled export of products that we cannot purchase or that we do not need to partner countries, to signatory countries of security agreements, and to NATO member states," Mikhalko explained.
Additionally, it is crucial to localize weapons production in Ukraine. Experts believe that the components of Ukrainian weapons should be domestically produced or sourced from Europe.
Recall that recently, the Minister for Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, mentioned the amount needed to establish and increase the pace of weapons production in Ukraine.
And at the end of the year, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, stated that Ukraine has significantly improved its defense capabilities and production.
