"We want to draw the world's attention against the backdrop of current news and emphasize that there is no dialogue with terrorists. I represent here the families of our fallen warriors. In my family, there are already three heavenly warriors. One has been missing for the third year. And one of my younger brothers is still at the front. It's already the eleventh year. He protects us all. And today, my son and I want to carry this memory of my relatives. So that they do not tire of this war, so that they help the living, so that later they do not mourn the dead at the cemetery. I want the world to finally wake up and not just observe from the sidelines but to truly engage as we did three years ago, as our defenders did eleven years ago. So that in Europe we do not wake up at four in the morning from the sounds of explosions, but so that we truly have a peaceful sky here in Europe, and first and foremost in Ukraine", — noted Anna Veremchuk from Volyn.
Ruslana Kovalchuk from Kyiv also lost a loved one in the war. She attended the event with her son Zachary.
"We waited for 15 months, searched, but our hope, our miracle did not happen. In January we were told about the second DNA collection, we went for identification, and on February 4 we buried him. It's very hard. It was difficult then, but there was some hope and faith. We came to support, to be a voice for all the comrades and everyone who remains in captivity, is missing, or has died. I do not want anyone to experience what I went through. But I do not want to just give up; I want to win, so that it benefits Ukraine and so that our loved ones did not die in vain", — shared Ruslana Kovalchuk.
With thoughts of her life destroyed three years ago, Dasha Shapovalova came to the rally on the anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion. The girl, originally from Kryvyi Rih, brought a poster in support of Mariupol — she has friends from there:
"I have acquaintances who fled from Mariupol. And it was very hard. With two small children, they managed to evacuate to some village by any means necessary, where they had absolutely nothing. They ate nothing, drank some technical water. They still remember it. I am a psychologist myself, but I cannot let go of my past life, as my colleagues advise. I lived very well in Ukraine. It has always been my choice to live in Ukraine. My happy life was destroyed in one day. For these three years, I have been living on antidepressants. It hurts a lot to see that Europe is living off Ukraine right now — the people who are here breathe only because Ukraine is still fighting. And we still have to prove this because not everyone understands it."
Accompanied by a friend, Warsaw resident Agnieszka Gurska attended the rally, as she stated that they have supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war:
"We came here today because we want to stand with Ukraine. We want one single truth to resonate around the world: three years ago, Putin and Russia unleashed a full-scale war against Ukraine without any reason. Russia is the aggressor; it must retreat and be punished. Ukraine was innocently attacked, and we will not forget this. Ukraine is like a sister to Poland. Our fates are closely intertwined, and we must always remember this."
Near the Ukrainian embassy in Warsaw, attendees honored the memory of all Ukrainians who fell victim to Russian aggression. The procession then moved towards the Polish Parliament. For the third year in a row, the initiative was led by the public initiative "Euromaidan-Warsaw."
Let us remind you that in Washington, hundreds of people with Ukrainian flags held a rally. It was organized to commemorate the third anniversary of the large-scale war.
Additionally, a support event for Ukraine took place in Toronto, where thousands gathered in the city’s central squares.
