The Speaker of the Latvian Saeima has arrived in Ukraine – what’s on the agenda?
On Tuesday, January 14, the Speaker of the Latvian Saeima, Daiga Mierina, arrived in Ukraine. She was welcomed at the Kyiv train station by Elena Kondratyuk, the Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

Kondratyuk emphasized that this is an important visit for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and a testament to the support of Ukrainian-Latvian relations.
"The Latvian delegation has a series of meetings planned with Ukrainian authorities and representatives of educational and rehabilitation centers for military personnel", she added.
