Hundreds of people with placards, Ukrainian flags, and photos of soldiers gathered for a rally, demanding that the Red Cross take action to bring the prisoners of war home.

The relatives of the prisoners are expressing their emotions outside the building, seeking at least some information about their husbands and sons who are held captive in Russia.

The ICRC reached out to the activists who attended the rally, stating that the organization is actively working on the diplomatic front every day.

"Our specialists communicate with families separately; we also engage with various authorities, the Coordination Headquarters, the Ombudsman’s office, and the President's Office. Unfortunately, it often turns out that we take two steps forward and one step back," the statement reads.
