Minister of Defense of Germany Boris Pistorius visited Kyiv to hold talks with the Ukrainian government. The main topic of the meetings is the strengthening of the Ukrainian defense industry. This initiative has been joined by four other European partners, who, along with Germany, aim to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities.
"It is important for me to use this trip to show that we continue to actively support Ukraine. This is a signal that Germany, as the largest NATO country in Europe, stands by Ukraine,” — n-tv quotes him.
During the negotiations, the parties are expected to discuss the details of cooperation, which includes the supply of defense equipment, support for technological development, and joint projects in the military sector.
Let us remind you that recently Boris Pistorius announced the delivery of the first of the promised RCH 155 howitzers to Ukraine.
Additionally, Pistorius denied rumors that Olaf Scholz allegedly blocked assistance to Ukraine from Germany.
