The KGVA explained why drones can be just as dangerous as missiles.

The issue of providing shelters and access for the residents of Kyiv remains pertinent, particularly regarding the continuity of children's education. Overall, it cannot be said that any specific area of the capital is safer than another, especially in light of the kamikaze drone attacks by "Shaheds."
В КГВА отметили, что дроны могут быть так же опасны, как и ракеты, из-за их способности наносить удары с высокой точностью и неожиданностью.

This was stated on the air of Evening.LIVE by the speaker of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Yevgeny Yevlev.

The Myth of Safe Areas During Attacks

According to Yevlev, it is a significant mistake to think that any area is safer in the capital. The enemy's primary target is the entire city of Kyiv, which is why debris from missiles or drones can fall anywhere in Kyiv.

"The threat of attacks remains relevant, so the state district administrations will surely announce data on new protective structures or shelters. This is especially important for schools, where only students should have access to shelters, and the educational process must occur in complete safety, while residents of the area should have their own shelters," said the representative of the KMVA.

How to Address Closed Shelters in Kyiv

The KMVA has received several hundred complaints from Kyiv residents about being unable to access shelters during air alerts. Yevlev stated that this is an administrative issue, as some shelters are located in communal buildings but are leased out. Some shelters on the territory of homeowners' associations are sometimes indeed closed by the maintainers to prevent marginalization.

"To ensure a prompt response from the authorities to such cases, we have developed Kyiv ShelterBot in Telegram, where information about closed shelters can be quickly reported. Currently, a check of all shelters has been initiated, and this bot is helping us significantly in this regard," noted Yevgeny Yevlev.

Earlier, it was reported that in Kyiv, charges were brought against an official of the Shevchenkivskyi District State Administration, a technical inspection engineer, and a contractor. It is reported that the individuals involved overpaid for the repair of a shelter in a school by more than 320,000 hryvnias.

Additionally, in the capital, charges were brought against the head of the Education Department of the Podilskyi District State Administration. The case concerns overpayment for the purchase of extension cords for shelters amounting to 130,000 hryvnias.
