Zelensky comments on Israel's security guarantees, stating that they are satisfactory for Ukraine.

The head of state spoke about this in an interview with Italian journalist Cecilia Sali for the newspaper Il Foglio.

Do Ukraine's security guarantees resemble those of Israel?

These are quite good proposals. Yes, of course, it’s not NATO, but it’s a step towards NATO. This means that Israel receives technology, air defense, and funding, and is developing — that’s a fact,” said the President.

He reminded that Israel's allies not only intercept rockets aimed at the country, but also strike back at enemies. According to Zelensky, no country has yet conducted counterstrikes against the areas in Russia from which missiles and planes have been launched that targeted and killed our people.

“Who intercepts the rockets? Apart from the allies of the USA or NATO in the Middle East, such as Jordan and others that intercept them directly from the ground. Additionally, there’s the aviation of the USA, Britain, and France. NATO. So there were allies who shot down these rockets using all their capabilities. And if we are offered such security guarantees, I would like to see these proposals in detail,” emphasized the Ukrainian leader.

Let us recall that recently Zelensky named another important security guarantee for Ukraine. This concerns the joining of European armies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He also explained why Ukraine's accession to NATO is the "cheapest" guarantee. Without financial support, Ukraine will not be able to hold back Russia.
