This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference with Donald Tusk on Wednesday, January 15.
As Zelensky noted, the United States is a strategic partner of Ukraine. Currently, the Ukrainian team is working on the format for the upcoming meeting with the team of the new American leader.
"The USA is a strategic partner for stability in the world, in my opinion. They are the largest donors to Ukraine in this struggle for survival against Russian aggression. We expect the continuation of policies that strengthen Ukraine. After the inauguration, our teams are already working on the content and format of the future meeting. The most important thing for us is that we want to end this war, but not just in any way, but through a just peace. For this, we need assurance that Russia will not return with war again," — Volodymyr Zelensky.
Let us remind you that today President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. This took place in Warsaw, where the Ukrainian president arrived on a working visit.
On January 20, the inauguration of the newly elected President of the USA, Donald Trump, will take place. The politician will become the leader of the country for the second time.
