Konstantin Minakov, the head of the UAV manufacturing company "OmniTek Defense," stated that Ukraine is achieving the extraordinary by producing FPV drones that are priced similarly to drones made from Chinese components. When compared to drones from the United States, they are significantly more affordable.

Drone Production in Ukraine

Minakov pointed out that due to the high prices of drones in China or the USA, there are concerns regarding the export of arms from Ukrainian manufacturers.

"The USA produces a fully localized FPV drone, meaning it is made entirely in the States with no components from China. The cost of this drone is approximately four times higher than that of our current drone," explained the head of the UAV manufacturing company.

The expert also emphasized the need for localization of Ukrainian production—so that components for domestic weapons are also manufactured in Ukraine. This will ensure a continuous supply of UAVs to the front.

Recall that the Technological Forces of Ukraine reported that the world is interested in the export of Ukrainian FPV drones. There is a demand, and it is at a very high level.

We also mentioned that Ukraine could produce over 1.7 million units of weapons in 2024. This did not happen because developers did not receive orders from the government.
