The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, stated that the parties are discussing reunification in several economic areas.
"Biden's policies have undermined trust in the dollar, and the sanctions have helped Russia become more independent," Dmitriev emphasized.
According to him, dialogue with Donald Trump's administration allegedly allows for "demonstrating that the policy of containing Russia has failed."
"Progress in negotiations between Russia and the USA is possible in the next 2-3 months," says the head of the RDIF.
Dmitriev believes that currently, "the USA is ready to listen to and understand Russia's position."
"It is important to acknowledge that the sanctions have impacted the USA more than Russia," he stated.
It is worth noting that the US State Department indicated that the meeting should not be viewed as "negotiations" regarding Ukraine.
Additionally, the Russians are once again setting demands from dictator Vladimir Putin and conducting information campaigns aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian government before the West.
