Will Ukraine receive Taurus missiles? Here’s a commentary on the situation.

This was stated in a comment to Novini.LIVE by Oleksandra Ustinova, a member of the Verkhovna Rada. The politician also serves as the chair of the commission for monitoring the receipt and use of international material and technical assistance during martial law.

"Now our chances of receiving these missiles are higher, because until now, their provision was personally opposed by Scholz. I know that there was significant dissatisfaction within his own party regarding this decision, and the Germans have actually become one of our largest allies. Moreover, Merz has publicly advocated for providing Ukraine with Taurus missiles," Ustinova clarified.

According to her, the Germans, like the French and the British, understand that to deter, something must be provided, or it has maximum effect.

Ustinova also spoke about a successful example of investment in the Ukrainian defense industry, specifically following the Danish model.

"The first contract was for our long-range drones, followed by a contract worth nearly 400 million for the production of 'Bogdan.' These are our Ukrainian 'Caesars.' More and more countries will join in investments based on the Danish model. These countries include those from Northern Europe and even Canada," the deputy summarized.

Recall that, according to former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Europe needs to create its own army. He made this statement during a special YES meeting organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.

Additionally, France has named the countries that are ready to send troops to Ukraine.
