Denis Nikitin discussed this in an interview with Novini.LIVE.
"As soon as a citizen of the Russian Federation breaks the law, within a few months he will be sent to fight in the war against Ukraine. Currently, Russia is sending individuals to the 'SVO' not only from prison but also from pre-trial detention centers, meaning a person hasn’t even been tried yet, but they are already being dispatched.", — explained the commander of the RDK.
According to Nikitin, the practice of sending prisoners to war has already reached significant proportions, and various tricks are employed: some are intoxicated with alcohol, others are incited to bet, while some are set up.
"I spoke with men who were stopped by patrols on the street, searched, and suddenly found ammunition in their pockets. Where would an ordinary person get ammunition? They have nothing to shoot with.", — shared the founder of the RDK.
Nikitin also added that there are cases where a regular fight is turned into a confrontation with law enforcement, or where a prisoner is given extra years despite having a minimal sentence left. In such situations, the man is offered a choice — war or prison.
Recall that Nikitin revealed which soldiers are part of the RDK and how recruitment occurs. According to him, men are divided into separate groups.
Additionally, one of the Russian soldiers who was captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared with Novini.LIVE about his journey to the RDK.
