The American leader Donald Trump made this statement during a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday, February 27.
According to Trump, the rare earth agreement will serve as a "pillar" for Ukraine. However, the deployment of peacekeeping forces on our territory will be considered only after the agreement is signed.
"First, we need an agreement before discussing peacekeepers. We haven't signed it yet," — said the President of the United States.
Additionally, peacekeeping forces are regarded as one of the security guarantees for Ukraine. Keir Starmer urged Trump to slightly adjust his approach toward Ukraine.
"Our countries have a long history of partnership, and I am confident that together we will further strengthen this cooperation. Thank you for opening the door to a peace agreement," — said the British Prime Minister.
It is also worth noting that Donald Trump stated he does not recall calling Vladimir Zelensky "a dictator." The President of the United States was surprised by the question regarding this matter.
Previously, Donald Trump expressed strong opinions about the European Union. In the view of the President of the United States, the EU was created to inflict economic damage on America.
