Джорджеску в Румынии допросили на протяжении 5 часов — какие обвинения ему предъявлены?

This is reported by Radio Free Europe, citing sources in the prosecutor's office.

What Georgesku is Accused Of

The prosecutor's office noted that the politician is suspected of a number of serious crimes, including conspiracy to undermine the constitutional order, spreading false information, creating or supporting extremist groups, promoting fascist, racist, or xenophobic ideas, as well as glorifying individuals involved in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

After questioning, the former presidential candidate left the prosecutor's office, where he spent five hours being interrogated.

According to unofficial information, Georgesku will be under judicial supervision for 60 days.

It is worth noting that in December, the Constitutional Court of Romania made an unprecedented decision to cancel the presidential elections of 2024. The reason was the campaign methods of the pro-Russian politician Kelin Georgesku. The decision was based on data from Romanian intelligence services, which declassified documents about large-scale manipulations on TikTok that provided the politician with significant support on social media. Additionally, during his election campaign, Georgesku promised that if elected, he would stop the export of grain from Ukraine through Romania.

In January, Georgesku stated that Ukraine is allegedly an "artificial entity." He also expressed the opinion about the inevitable division of the country.
