Land seizure in Kyiv: NABU has issued a wanted notice for former Kyiv City Council member Komarnytsky.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has put former Kyiv City Council deputy Denis Komarnytsky on the wanted list. He was recently exposed in a scheme involving the illegal acquisition of land in Kyiv.

NABU has put former Kyiv City Council deputy Denis Komarnytsky on the wanted list. He was recently exposed for his involvement in an illegal land acquisition scheme in Kyiv.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine with a link to the NABU press service.

"Based on a decision by a NABU detective, a former deputy of the Kyiv City Council has been placed on the wanted list, suspected of creating and managing a criminal organization aimed at seizing land in the capital," NABU stated.

It is worth noting that according to NABU Director Semen Kryvonos, Komarnytsky is attempting to leave the territory of Ukraine.

The NABU Director expressed hope that "the law enforcement system will ensure that this individual does not leave the territory of Ukraine."

The Land Acquisition Case in Kyiv

Earlier, we reported that Ukrainian law enforcement agencies uncovered a corruption scheme in the Kyiv City Council. Officials allegedly illegally seized land valued at 11.6 million hryvnias.

Main Figures in the Case

According to sources from RBK-Ukraine, the main figures in the case are:

  • former Kyiv City Council deputy Denis Komarnytsky, who is the organizer of the scheme;
  • Deputy Chairman of the KCSA, Petr Olenych;
  • Kyiv City Council deputies, including the head of the land relations commission, Mykola Terentyev, and commission member Elena Marchenko.

We also reported that on February 6, NABU and SAP conducted an operation in the Kyiv City Council to expose a criminal organization suspected of land corruption.
